The Alley Loop on the original course is ON!
26th Annual Alley Loop Nordic Marathon
February 4, 2012.
Part of the American Ski Marathon Series and an American Birkebeiner qualifying race, the Alley Loop is also Crested Butte’s largest costume party and biggest Nordic event of the year. The Alley Loop’s unique course starts and finishes in the heart of downtown Crested Butte, and in between it meanders through snow-lined alleys, behind false-fronted stores and restaurants, over footbridges and alongside residences. The adult races head out to the expertly groomed Nordic trails on the pristine outskirts of Crested Butte. In addition to the fun races for all ages and abilities, the event also features “Taste of the Alley,” a New Belgium beer garden from 12 – 4 p.m. and an awards ceremony at 3:30 with great prizes and a raffle.
Round out your weekend by joining us for Sunday brunch on February 5 at our Magic Meadows Yurt. In between savoring a variety of fine foods prepared by private chef Tim Egelhoff, you can ski your recovery laps right outside the door of the yurt on the Magic Meadows trails. Only one mile from the trailhead, brunch a the yurt is a great family event. Price for adults is $25, for kids $10. To join us, make reservations by calling 970-349-1707, ext 2.

REGISTRATION:
- ON-LINE registration available October 1 until Thursday, February 2 at 10 p.m. (Mountain Time)
- Friday Feb 3rd in person registration will be at the Chamber (4-Way) from 3-7 along with bib-pick up. There will be NO registration at the Nordic Center and NO day-of registration.
