CBNC Spring Newsletter

Dear Nordic Community,

With the closing of the Nordic Center’s doors for the season most of us have started thinking more about bikes and gardening than skate skis and grooming. The frequent spring snow storms remind us that winter hasn’t given up the ghost yet, though. Before we’ve all moved on completely, we wanted to send out our spring newsletter.

Inside you’ll find reports on events, ski school, the Junior Nordic team, and the day-to-day happenings at the Nordic center, as well as photos from throughout the year.  We hope you enjoy a bit of reminiscing and day-dreaming about next year.

That’s All Folks

Thank you to everyone who made this such a great winter at the Nordic Center! To all our volunteers, patrollers, employees, board members, skiers…have a great “off-season” and we look forward to another great season.

Good morning! This is Laura Puckett with today’s grooming report.  At 7:45 a.m. it is 23 degrees here at the Nordic Center and the snow keeps on coming!  Today’s grooming status is as follows:

The Bench: will be groomed by 9:30 a.m.
Town Ranch: will be groomed by 11 a.m.
East Side Trails: groomed yesterday
West Side Trails: will be groomed by 8:30 a.m.

Rental Skis for Sale: Get a jump on the Ski Swap!  We are beginning to sell off the rental fleet early this year.  Skate Skis, Touring Skis, Boots, Poles, Snow Shoes, Kids Skis…it all must go.  Most prices are set 60% below retail!  Come in today to check out what is left.

Spring Fling Raffle: Thanks everyone for participating this year in the Raffle.

Good morning! This is Mark Smiley with today’s grooming report.  At 7:45 a.m. it is 18 degrees here at the Nordic Center and its snowing big happy flakes.  Last night we received about two inches in town. Today’s grooming status is as follows:

The Bench: groomed this morning
Town Ranch: groomed by 9:15 this morning
East Side Trails: groomed by 11:00 this morning
West Side Trails: groomed this morning

West Side Trails: groomed by 9:15 this morning
