Giving Thanks - For Snow and You
We hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family. We know it’s been a slow start to winter, but we’ve finally made it, and there’s snow and skiing to boot! This month is not only the fun and festive holiday season, but also the season of generosity. As a nonprofit, our ability to operate and serve is largely dependent on our community. We wouldn’t be who we are without you. Colorado Gives Day is December 9. This statewide celebration of community nonprofit work is a wonderful way to give back to CB Nordic. Any donation made through the Colorado Gives platform between now and December 9 is magnified by the $1 million incentive fund. That means your donation goes further in supporting the CB Nordic trails and programs you love. Thank you for helping us share the joy of winter. See you on the trails.

It’s official. We’re skiing in town!

We spent our Thanksgiving Break skiing with folks from all over Colorado at Lily Lake for Thanksgiving Camp. Conditions were definitely thin, but everyone was so excited to be on snow. That’s how it goes when winter is behind schedule. It's just so good to be out there regardless. On Sunday, conditions changed for the better and we have enough snow to groom Ruthie’s Run and The Bench. While it’s advised to walk your skis up the hill behind Big Mine, once you’re up there, the skiing is pretty good. Don’t forget to stop by the Nordic Center to update your season pass sticker or grab a day pass before you head up to ski.

Want your skis to get the royal treatment in prep for the season ahead? Bring them over to the Nordic Center for our Hot Box Wax Special! For $35, your skis will feel brand new, glide better than ever, and help you save time and money with waxing over the course of the season. This special is only available until December 19, and then the price goes back up to $50. We also have plenty of other services to bring your skis back to life this winter. Binding mounts, performance waxing, cleaning, pole cutting - the list goes on. Check it out.

There’s snow on the ground, which means we’re hosting lessons and tours. Join our PSIA-certified instructors to get your season started on the right ski. Lessons will give you the skills and confidence to boldly venture out on your own and embrace the sport of cross-country skiing. All lessons are private and tailored to your goals and skill level. Tours start December 15, and are a great way to experience our snowy backyard in a safe environment. Whether you’re looking to snowshoe or ski, all options are private and tailored to your goals, focusing on fun and adventure.
