It’s officially go-time at CB Nordic! Passes, programs, Yurt Dinners, and Thanksgiving Camp registration are all open. Our Annual Potluck is tomorrow evening (5 p.m.), and it won’t be long before we’re watching ski movie premieres, pulling our gear out of closets, and knocking the rust off our technique. In more personal CB Nordic news, we want to wish head honcho Hedda Peterson and her husband JT Ryan a massive congratulations on a new baby girl born on Monday. She’s out of the office on maternity leave until December, and Brittany Perkins is our interim Executive Director for the next few months. See you on the snowy trails soon!

New Jr. Program StaffMolly’s Back! Welcome Kate! We’re excited to announce and introduce our new Race Prep Coach, Molly Susla, and our new Jr. Program Coordinator, Kate Miller. Kate graduated from Western Colorado University with a Masters in Environmental Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation and Outdoor Education. Kate has extensive experience working with youth year-round as a PSIA instructor, Swim coach, Climbing coach, and counselor. Kate is excited to work with the families of our Nordic Community to bring joy and fun into our Junior programs. Molly Susla moved to Crested Butte after college to coach the Nordic Team with Austin Ross. After a nine year run coaching, she took a break to do some traveling, get a masters degree in sport and performance psychology, and to start a family with her husband, Drew Holbrook, who grew up skiing for the Crested Butte Nordic Team. During her hiatus, she missed the competitive side of skiing and is excited to return this year as the Race Prep Coach.
